Philanthropy

For the past 18 years, Chipman Design has made a tradition of contributing to an array of programs servicing those truly in need. In efforts to expand its philanthropic endeavors beyond traditional holiday seasons, the firm began sharing its time and talents several years ago by contributing to on-going programs throughout the year.

Focusing on the essential nature of structures, the firm has sought out non-profit organizations who recognize the important foundation of physical facilities – both residential and educational –as a means of buoying the hope and future of families. Over the years, these have included pro bono services as well as financial contributions to such organizations as the Ronald McDonald House Charities, NEW Economics for Women, the Buddy Foundation and Veteran’s programming as well as several arts organizations and regional youth symphonies.

Responding to global changes, the firm has also begun taking a more proactive approach to funding the future. Based on the unique culture of the firm as well as its view on the role of architects, Chipman Design has further committed itself to social responsibility by embarking on a focus toward sustainability – within its own offices, through its projects and client ventures, and extending beyond its own circles through philanthropic pursuits.

These efforts combine to express the firm’s yearlong commitment to sharing its time and talents as well as investing in programs that it believes can truly begin to make a difference in the world.
